What is "AppliancePartsRefurb.com"

Appliance Parts Refurb was built to support Appliance Repair personnel who repair appliances, swapping out boards, however, knowing that the board itself can likely be refurbished with new parts to be operational once again. This keeps their margins high and minimizes recycling to keep scraps out of landfills.

We are not limited to serving the appliance repair personnel but will also do these repairs for the Do-It-Yourselfer who is out there trying to save themselves some money by making their own repairs.

Optical Emitter Board for Ice Maker controller in various refrigerators, including these part numbers 4389102, PS557945, 921526, and part # 2198585 for just the emitter board. This board is used in these refrigerators....Kenmore, Maytag, Sears, and Whirlpool.

This board is found in refrigerators that are configured like the one shown in Figure 2 below with the ice bin mounted on the side of the freezer door.

NOTE WHEN REPAIRING THIS TYPE OF ICE MAKER:
If you do the diagnostics and see that the optical sensor circuitry is bad, try replacing just the left side Optical Emitter Board first...it's the smaller board, easier to swap, and easy to test. Test the newly installed board. If the new board works, your done. You keep the old emitter board and ship it back here to be rebuilt and used for your next customer...saving you from having to invest in a whole new set of boards.

Please include with your board to be repaired, your email address (that's the way I'll usually keep in touch), your shipping address, and a check for $19.99/ each board being repaired.

Your board will be repaired by replacing those parts that have gone defective with 100% new parts. The board will be thoroughly checked with our bench testing system. Then, your part will be shipped back to you.

If for some reason we are unable to repair your board, it will be returned along with your complete payment.
